I am a  Xicana single mom  graduate student at USC,  coming back for a master’s in teaching after teaching in private schools for over twelve years.  I was laid off from my last job due to low enrollment and so I made the jump back into academia. I have two teenagers and right now we live with family.  I am trying to keep my costs low but now I’ve found out that I am 12,000 short on funding for the next school year.
